Doing the Best I Can
Each morning I rise with a weary heart,
Piecing together the day’s broken parts.
Not every step is steady or planned—
But I move forward, doing the best I can.
The world spins fast, and I often fall,
Answering silence when no one will call.
But I lift my head, wipe off the sand,
And stand again—doing the best I can.
There’s strength in the trying, grace in the fight,
Even in shadows, I search for the light.
It’s not always easy to take a stand,
But I keep on, doing the best I can.
I don’t wear medals, I don’t seek fame,
I just want to weather the storms that came.
And maybe, someday, they’ll understand—
There’s courage in simply doing the best I can.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and Light,
Brenda Marie
