Poem: Let Your Uniqueness Shine

Let Your Uniqueness Shine

Be not the echo, dull and worn,
Of voices cast from pages torn.
You are the spark the dark forgot,
The thread in fate the loom had not.

You are not glass meant to reflect
Another’s face or their neglect.
You are the prism, wild and true,
That bends the world to show new hue.

Why dim your light to match the stars?
Your path was never theirs or ours.
You burn in ways they’ll never know—
A flame that dances through the snow.

Speak not in tones you think they crave,
But in the notes your own soul gave.
Your laughter, awkward, raw, or loud,
Is thunder breaking through the cloud.

Wear what you are like sacred skin,
Not mask nor mold they boxed you in.
Each flaw, each quirk, each whispered, “strange”
Is not a crack—it is your range.

So walk unshaken, rise unbent,
Be not the copy—be the event.
And if they blink when you appear,
Then shine again. Make yourself clear.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
