I wake to light that gently breaks,
A golden hush the morning makes.
The breath I draw, the sky so wide—
A quiet joy I cannot hide.
The hands that help, the hearts that care,
The love that lingers in the air.
For every friend who’s walked my way,
And stayed through night to greet the day.
For lessons learned through joy and pain,
For loss that shaped what still remains,
For all the paths I did not see
That led, in time, to finding me.
Grateful not for only ease,
But storms that taught me how to breathe.
Each moment stitched in time’s own thread—
A life well-lived, not just well said.
So here I stand, with open eyes,
Beneath the ever-changing skies.
Thankful simply to exist,
And hold the world within my fist.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and Light,
Brenda Marie
