See People for Who They Truly Are
Look past the mask, the practiced smile,
The polished words, the studied style.
Beneath the surface, quiet and deep,
Are truths that shadows often keep.
See not the titles that they claim,
Nor chase the echo of their name.
For some wear gold that isn’t real,
And hide the wounds they never heal.
Watch how they treat the small, the weak,
The ones with nothing left to seek.
Kindness speaks where pride falls mute,
And humble roots bear sweetest fruit.
Don’t judge too fast from where they stand—
The richest hearts might work bare hands.
Some shine in rooms, but dim alone;
Some bloom in silence, never shown.
So pause before you draw your line,
Truth often takes its patient time.
Eyes deceive, but actions tell—
Who lifts, who listens, who means well.
To know someone, you must go far—
Beyond the light, beyond the scar.
Not all who sparkle are a star—
So see people for who they truly are.
