Safe in Your Own Skin
In quiet light of morning’s grace,
You meet yourself in still embrace—
No need to change, no war to win,
You’re safe at last in your own skin.
No mask to wear, no script to play,
Just breath and pulse to guide the way.
Each freckle, scar, and every line
A map of where your truths align.
The mirror holds no judgment here,
Just silent witness, calm and clear.
No shame to hide, no race to run—
The battles fought, the healing done.
You learned the strength of standing still,
Of saying “no,” of bending will.
The world may roar, but deep within,
You’ve found your voice beneath the din.
So when the winds of doubt begin,
Just wrap yourself in who you’ve been—
And know that peace is grown, not given,
And home is built, not just be-livin’.
You’re not a fault to be erased—
You are a soul profoundly placed.
Let joy begin, let love flow in,
You’re finally safe in your own skin.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and light,
Brenda Marie
