Let Go of Shame
Let go, dear soul, of shame’s old thread,
That weaves its lies inside your head.
You are not the wrong you’ve done,
Nor every shadow you tried to outrun.
It clings like dusk before the dawn,
A heavy robe, long past its spawn.
But night, though deep, is not the end—
It breaks, and light becomes your friend.
The voice that told you, “You’re not enough,”
Was never truth—it just acted tough.
It feared your strength, your open flame,
So dressed in masks and whispered shame.
But shame is not a sacred law,
Just echoes of a fear you saw.
You are more than scars and pain—
You are roots, and bloom, and rain.
Let rivers carry guilt away,
Let winds blow judgment’s ash to clay.
Stand naked in your truth, unbowed—
Not broken—only growing proud.
You’re worthy now, as you have been—
Not once you lose, or once you win.
So breathe, release, unchain your name:
You’re not your past.
You are not shame.
