Poem: Break the Loop

Round and round, the cycle spins,
Old regrets in newer skins.
Same old steps on worn-out ground,
Chasing echoes, never found.

The mirror lies, then tells the truth—
You’re not the past, you’re not your youth.
Yet here you are, in the same old fight,
Calling it fate, calling it night.

But what if one breath split the seam,
What if one thought sparked a dream?
What if “enough” became your cry,
And not just whispered as you lie?

Break the loop—tear through the thread,
Let dead things lie where they are dead.
You are not the cage you keep,
Not the promise you couldn’t reap.

Walk the path not carved by fear,
Speak a word, no ghost can hear.
Change is not a perfect plan—
It’s just the first step where you stand.

So name the cycle. Starve its need.
Let silence grow where it would feed.
You owe no loyalty to pain.
Break the loop—begin again.

Thank-you for reading.

Many blessings to all.

Much love and light,

Brenda Marie
