A hush falls soft on rooftops, high,
As thunder rolls across the sky.
The scent of the earth begins to rise—
A promise whispered in disguise.
Leaves lean in with gentle grace,
Each drop a kiss upon their face.
The thirsty ground begins to sing,
Beneath the blessing rain will bring.
Children laugh and chase the spray,
As puddles bloom along the way.
Their feet, like drums, in rhythm pound—
To summer’s song on softened ground.
No bitter chill, no bitter gray,
Just golden light behind the spray.
The storm arrives, not fierce or wild,
But like the dream of summer’s child.
And when it goes, it leaves behind
A cooler breeze, a clearer mind.
The world renewed in sweet refrain—
By gentle hands of summer rain.
Thank-you for reading.
Much love and Light,

Excellent poem Brenda 🌷🤝 This poem is a tender ode to summer rain—alive with joy, renewal, and childlike wonder. It paints storms not as chaos, but as gentle gifts that leave the world softer, brighter, and singing. A beautiful reminder of nature’s quiet magic. 🌧️☀️
Thank-you so much
