Strawberries

Red on green they rest,
sun-warmed sweetness in my hand
summer on my tongue.

Classic Strawberry Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries (hulled)

  • 1 banana (optional for creaminess)

  • 1/2 cup plain or vanilla yogurt (or a dairy-free alternative)

  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

  • 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)

  • A few ice cubes (optional, for thickness)

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender.

  2. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.

  3. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.

  4. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately!

Variations:

  • Add a handful of spinach for a nutrient boost.

  • Use Greek yogurt for extra protein.

  • Add chia or flaxseeds for fiber.

  • Swap banana with mango or avocado for a different flavor/texture.

Thank-you for reading.

Much love and Light,

Brenda Marie Fluharty
