I stepped outside where the gray clouds sighed,
And the hush of the world slowly opened wide.
Each drop a whisper, a gentle refrain,
As I wandered alone in the cool, soft rain.
Pavement shimmered with silver light,
Trees stood dreaming in misty night.
Umbrellas bloomed like paper moons,
And puddles danced to quiet tunes.
No hurry found my drifting pace,
The storm had stilled the city’s race.
Even time seemed slow and kind,
As if the rain could cleanse the mind.
The scent of earth, of leaves, of stone,
Made every heartbeat feel like home.
A thousand thoughts just washed away—
And only breath, and steps, and day.
So let the thunder softly call,
And let the gentle raindrops fall.
For peace is found, not loud or grand,
But walking barefoot through the land.
Thank-you for reading.
Much love and Light,
