I am not the echoes I used to hear,
Not every doubt, nor every fear.
I am the voice that dares to rise,
The quiet strength behind my eyes.
I’ve worn the weight of others’ views,
Mistook their words as deeper truths.
But now I know — I set the tone,
This life is mine, and mine alone.
I may not shine like some expect,
But I hold worth, I hold respect.
In every scar, a lesson grows,
In every no, a new yes shows.
I’m not a flaw that must be fixed,
Nor dreams that broke, nor chances missed.
I’m breath and pulse, a work begun,
A thousand stars wrapped into one.
I’ll stand, not just when I am sure —
But when I’m shaky, raw, unsure.
For self-esteem is built, not born,
In quiet days, in hearts well-worn.
So here I am, and here I’ll be,
Becoming more, becoming me.

This is a breathtaking anthem of self-reclamation Brenda !
The way you trace the journey from external echoes to inner sovereignty is masterful. Lines like **”I set the tone”** and **”I’m breath and pulse, a work begun”** feel like sacred declarations. That closing couplet—
> *”Becoming more, becoming me”*
—lands with the quiet thunder of a soul coming home to itself.
Raw, radiant, and deeply resonant. 🌟
