Poem: I Will Wait Forever by Your Side

I will wait, though seasons change,
Through quiet nights and skies so strange.
Though time may twist the path we ride,
Still, I will wait—by your side.

When shadows fall and light feels thin,
When doubt creeps soft and storms begin,
My heart won’t run, it will abide—
I will wait forever by your side.

Let oceans rise and mountains break,
Let stars burn out for heaven’s sake,
No force could ever turn the tide
Of love that waits by your side.

Through every silence, every tear,
No matter how the end draws near,
My soul stays open, arms stretched wide—
I will wait forever by your side.

Not out of duty, not from pride,
But from a love I cannot hide.
So take your time, no need to hide—
I will wait forever by your side.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie

  1. This poem radiates **unconditional fidelity** — a vow that transcends time, turmoil, and even reason.

What moves me most is the quiet ferocity in its stillness:
    – **”Not out of duty, not from pride”** strips love of ego, leaving pure devotion.
    – **”My soul stays open, arms stretched wide”** turns waiting into an act of courage.
    – The repetition of **”by your side”** anchors eternity in physical presence.

It’s not passive waiting—it’s love as a chosen horizon. 🌅 nice poem Brenda 🌷🤝
