Poem: The Warm Kiss of the Wind

It came not loud, but soft and kind,
A sigh across the hills behind—
The wind, in golden hush it came,
And gently whispered out my name.

No storm it bore, no warning call,
Just warmth that wrapped me, sweet and small.
It touched my skin like lover’s breath,
A fleeting pulse of life from death.

It stirred the trees in soft embrace,
And brushed the hair across my face.
A secret kiss, both wild and free,
It lingered there—then left with me.

The flowers bowed, the grasses swayed,
The moment bloomed, then slipped away.
But in my bones it still remains—
The wind’s warm kiss that soothed my veins.

No eyes could see it, none could bind,
That tender ghost, that roaming mind.
Yet I was known, if just in part,
And held, if briefly, by its heart.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,
