Poem: Hang On Just a Little Longer

The night is deep, the road is steep,
And all you want is rest and sleep.
The stars feel cold, the silence loud,
The weight you bear, a thundercloud.

But even now, with shoulders sore,
You’re closer than you’ve been before.
The wind that whispers, “This won’t end,”
Might turn and call you back again.

So hang on just a little more—
One breath, one step, one heartbeat more.
The dawn is slow, but it still comes,
With golden feet and warming drums.

The path ahead is not yet shown,
But you won’t walk it all alone.
The darkest hour won’t last forever—
You’re made of light, and storms, and weather.

So bend, don’t break. Hold tight, be strong.
Hang on, dear soul—just a little longer.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
