Poem: Lost in Time

Beneath the clock, I hear it chime,
A fleeting echo, lost in time.
The hours slip like sand through glass,
Moments fade; they never last.

The past is blurred, a shadowed trace,
A dream that haunts a hollow space.
The future waits with empty hands,
Unwritten, like forgotten lands.

I walk the thread that never ends,
A river’s bend that never bends,
Where time’s a wheel that spins, unkind,
A maze I wander, blind, entwined.

Familiar faces, far away,
Their voices drift, a song astray.
I call their names, but none reply—
The echoes fade and whisper why.

In this stillness, lost, I stand,
A traveler on shifting sand.
The past and future melt to one,
A distant place where time is none.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
