Poem: Lost in the Light

I wandered far to find the dark,
A place where silence leaves its mark.
But everywhere, the light broke through,
Like morning chasing midnight blue.

It wasn’t harsh—it didn’t burn,
Just soft enough to make me turn.
And in its glow, I lost my name,
Forgot my fear, let go of blame.

No edges left, no lines to trace,
Just endless sky and open space.
The weight I held dissolved like mist,
In every ray, a quiet kiss.

Was I undone or truly found?
No tether now, no solid ground.
Just drifting wide, with nothing tight,
Forevermore—
lost in the light.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
