Poem: Shine Light onto the Darknes

When shadows stretch across your mind,
And hope feels distant, hard to find,
Don’t turn away or close your eyes—
There’s truth within the darkest skies.

For even night must bow to day,
And fear will fade when faced halfway.
A single spark, a steady flame,
Can call the lost ones back by name.

Shine light onto the shadowed part,
The wound, the weight, the quiet heart.
Not with force, but gentle grace—
A calm that darkness can’t replace.

You are the lantern, strong and bright,
You hold the fire, you birth the light.
And when you shine, the dark will bend—
Not as your foe, but as your friend.

For darkness isn’t just despair—
It’s where we heal, it’s where we dare
To meet ourselves, to grow, to rise—
And light is born behind closed eyes.

So don’t be scared to step inside—
With open soul and arms spread wide.
You are the star the night has missed—
Shine on. You were always meant to exist.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
