Poem: I Only Reconnect with Creator God

When silence stretches long and wide,
And all the world feels misapplied,
When hearts grow faint and voices fade—
I seek the One by whom I’m made.

I turn from noise, from pride, from praise,
From fleeting gods of modern days.
No lesser light can warm my soul,
No broken thing can make me whole.

I only reconnect with You—
The One whose breath makes all things new.
Not ritual, nor word rehearsed,
But living water for my thirst.

You meet me where no eyes can see,
Beyond the mind’s theology.
In stillness deep, in quiet flame,
You call me gently by my name.

I do not need a grand facade,
I only reconnect with God.
Not for a show, or fear, or fame—
But for the love that lit my frame.

So here I am, no veil, no rod—
I only reconnect with God.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
