Poem: See Through the Darkness

See through the darkness — not with your eyes,
But the fire that sleeps where your true self lies.
The world may whisper of fear and of night,
But courage is born in the absence of light.

Shadows may gather and silence may grow,
But stars only shine where the sun cannot go.
Each wound you carry, each scar on your skin,
Is proof of the battles you dared to begin.

Hope isn’t loud; it’s a flickering thread,
A word never spoken, a thought never said.
Yet still it persists, like breath in the cold,
Like stories passed down by the broken and bold.

So walk through the dark — not to flee or to fight,
But to find in the void your own source of light.
For night isn’t endless, and fear isn’t fate —
See through the darkness… and open the gate.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
