Poem: Reconnect to the Earth

Take off your shoes, let the silence speak,
Feel the cool soil kiss your feet.
The Earth has waited, soft and still,
To soothe your heart, to bend your will.

Breathe in deep the forest’s sigh,
The whisper of wind, the open sky.
Let rivers teach you how to flow,
And mountains what it means to grow.

Press your hand to bark and stone,
You’re not out here to be alone.
The roots beneath you gently say:
You never truly went away.

The stars above, the worms below—
All hold truths you used to know.
Before the screens, before the race,
There was this pulse, this sacred place.

So kneel and plant, or walk and roam,
Wherever Earth is, you are home.
Reconnect—not just with land,
But with your soul, with who you am.

Let every breath and every birth
Remind you: You belong to Earth.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
