Poem: Never Give Up

When the night is dark and the winds are loud,
When hope is hidden behind the cloud,
Stand your ground—don’t you dare retreat,
For storms bow down to hearts that beat.

The path is rough, the climb is steep,
And dreams may vanish when you sleep.
But rise again with the morning sun—
The race is long, but it can be won.

Bruised you may be, tired and sore,
Knocking hard on every door.
But knocks, though many, shape the key
To unlock your strength, to set you free.

Doubt will whisper, fear will shout,
But courage grows when faith casts out
The shadows clinging to your name—
You’re not alone; you’re in the flame.

So take one step, then take one more,
You’ve never been this close before.
Let grit and grace lift your chin up—
And say it loud: I won’t give up.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
