Poem: Wake Up

Wake up, the world is whispering near,
A breath of light in your waiting ear.
The night has folded, soft and slow—
The morning stirs; it’s time to go.

The sky spills gold on sleepy ground,
Birdsong leaps without a sound.
Your dreams have wandered far and wide,
But now it’s time to turn the tide.

Shake off the shadows, stretch your soul,
Let every heartbeat make you whole.
Today is raw, unwritten, bright—
A blank page steeped in morning light.

So rise, not just from sheets and sleep,
But from the thoughts you buried deep.
Wake up to life, to love, to pain—
To sunlight falling through the rain.

You are the fire, the spark, the flame—
Each dawn arrives to speak your name.
Wake up—this moment waits for you,
Alive with all you’ve yet to do.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
