You are not a shadow in someone else’s light,
nor a whisper meant to fade into the night.
You are thunder wrapped in gentle rain,
a masterpiece shaped by joy and pain.
The world will hand you masks to wear,
painted with “shoulds” and “don’t you dare.”
But peel them off, let your truth unfold—
your soul’s worth more than what you’re told.
Your laughter is a map, your tears a song,
your story’s been brave all along.
You’re the spark, the storm, the steady flame,
you’re the writer and the page—you have no shame.
So dance to the rhythm your heart creates,
walk through the doors your courage shapes.
For only when you stand as you are—
do you rise, unbroken, your own bright star.
Thank-you for reading.
