Guided Meditation: Cleansing the Heart Chakra (Anahata)
Duration: 8–12 minutes
Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position — seated or lying down.
Allow your hands to rest gently on your lap or over your heart.
Take a slow, deep breath in…
and a long, soft breath out.
Again — inhale deeply, filling your lungs completely…
and exhale, letting your body relax just a little more.
Feel the weight of your body supported.
Feel your shoulders easing downward…
your jaw loosening…
your mind beginning to quiet.
🌱 Bringing Awareness to the Heart Center
Now, bring your attention to the center of your chest —
the space of your heart chakra.
Imagine a gentle warmth glowing there, like a soft green light.
This light may be bright or faint, vivid or tender.
Whatever you see is perfect for this moment.
With every inhale, imagine this green light growing slightly…
and with every exhale, imagine tension melting away
from your chest, your ribs, your heart space.
💚 Cleansing the Heart
As you breathe, imagine a fresh breeze moving through your heart center,
clearing out old hurts, heaviness, or emotional residue.
You don’t need to force anything.
Just allow the breath to sweep gently through,
taking with it anything that no longer serves you.
Inhale: receiving nourishment.
Exhale: releasing burdens.
If emotions rise — warmth, tingles, even sadness —
simply allow them.
They are energy moving, shifting, cleansing.
🌸 Opening to Love
Now, imagine the green light becoming brighter,
as if someone turned up a soft dimmer switch.
See it radiating outward from your chest —
into your shoulders…
down your arms…
around your entire body.
Feel yourself surrounded in a cocoon of green, healing light —
the color of compassion, balance, and love.
Silently repeat after me,
or simply let the words resonate:
“I am open to giving and receiving love.”
“My heart is balanced, full, and free.”
“I am worthy of love, compassion, and connection.”
Let these words wash over you,
soaking into every cell.
✨ Integrating the Cleansing
As the green light continues to glow,
notice how your heart feels —
perhaps lighter, softer, more expansive.
Take a few slow breaths into this new spaciousness.
Know that your heart chakra is now balanced, cleansed,
and open to the flow of love within and around you.
🌿 Returning Gently
Begin to bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings.
Feel your body supported beneath you.
Feel the air touching your skin.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Take one final deep breath in…
and a slow, peaceful breath out.
When you’re ready, gently open your eyes.
Carry this sense of openness and ease with you
through the rest of your day.
Thank-you for reading.
Remember there are many paths back to God.
