Poem: Lessons Learned

I have learned that dawn is patient
even when the night is loud,
that hope can bloom in silence
and still stand tall and proud.

I have learned that broken pieces
do not mean a broken whole,
that healing is a gentle art
practiced daily by the soul.

I have learned that heavy seasons
eventually let go,
that even storms get weary
of the thunder they bestow.

I have learned that love is quiet
far more often than it’s seen,
a kindness in the background
where the tenderest moments lean.

I have learned that I am growing
in the dark and in the light,
collecting truths like lanterns
for the long roads of the night.

And I’ve learned that every ending
holds a doorway unobserved—
life is made of winding chapters
and the lessons we preserve.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
