Poem:The Shape of Us

Friendship is the quiet art
of knowing when to speak,
and when to let the silence
rest softly in between.

It’s laughter born from nothing,
from a look, a memory shared—
the kind that fills a room so warm
you forget the world was cold.

It’s walking roads that twist and turn
and never walking them alone;
it’s a hand that finds your hand
when the night is too long.

It’s honesty given gently,
truth offered without fear,
and the steady, simple miracle
of someone choosing to stay.

Friendship is the small, bright light
that doesn’t ask to shine—
it just flickers near your footsteps,
and suddenly
the path is kind.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
