I found a clock that could not chime,
Its hands were still, yet counted time.
The dust had learned each silent name,
While echoes whispered just the same.
A faded road, a weathered door,
Led somewhere I had been before.
The sky wore colors memory knew,
Painted in forgotten blue.
The wind carried voices soft and thin,
Of lives that might have once been mine.
They drifted past like autumn leaves,
Caught between the roots of time.
I reached to hold a single day,
But watched it slip like mist away.
For time keeps all it cannot show,
In hidden streams where dreamers go.
And if one day you lose your way,
Where yesterday meets no today,
Listen close—the silence may
Remember you, though you’ve gone astray.
Thank-you for reading.
