Finding the Wishing Star

In the moonlight she sits
Waiting to make her one wish.
In the darkness of night
She has no fright.

She sits under the moonlight
She smiles with delight
As she gazes  at the stars above.
Looking for the one star
The star that shines the brightest
The star she will wish upon.

The moon’s glow is bright
Almost too bright
for the stars’ light
To shine.

As the stars hid behind the moon’s light
She is in a fright soon there will be daylight.
Will she find the star for her one wish?
She looks near and far for a bright star.

Clouds move in right before a new day begins.
She finds the brightest star and make her wish!
A wish from the heart.
A wish for a new life to start!
