Poem: Break Free

In the quiet of the night, I hear a call,
A whisper soft, yet it shakes the wall.
Chains that bind, though unseen they be,
I feel their weight, they anchor me.

A voice within, so bold, so clear,
Urges me on, “There’s nothing to fear.”
The world is wide, the sky is vast,
Yet here I stand, holding the past.

But no more shall I be confined,
To the fears that dwell within my mind.
I’ll break these chains, I’ll rise, I’ll soar,
Beyond the shadows, to the open door.

With every step, the light grows near,
The path ahead, once dark, is clear.
I breathe in hope, I exhale doubt,
The time is now, I’m breaking out.

So here I go, with heart set free,
To find the world, to truly be.
No longer bound, I’m free, I’m me,
A soul unchained, eternally free.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and light,

Brenda Marie
