Poem: Let Go

I release the weight I’ve carried long,
Silent burdens, heavy and strong.
Old dreams that once lit up my sky,
Now dim like stars as nights pass by.

The chains I forged in fear and doubt,
I set them free, I cast them out.
No longer bound to what’s been done,
I open my heart to what’s to come.

Like leaves that fall when seasons change,
I shed the layers that feel strange.
The echoes of a distant past,
Fade gently now, they couldn’t last.

For in the space that loss will leave,
New seeds of hope begin to weave.
With open hands, I let them grow,
The things I need, I’ll surely know.

So here I stand, unburdened, free,
Letting go of what’s not meant for me.

Thank-you for reading,

Much love and light,

Brenda Marie
