I want to play in the rain today,
To toss my shoes and run away—
Let puddles find my skipping feet,
Where thunder sings, and warm winds meet.
I want to spin beneath the gray,
To feel the clouds melt me away.
No umbrella, no retreat—
Just laughing through the softened street.
Let others hide behind their glass,
While I dance barefoot in the grass.
Each drop a note, each splash a beat,
A symphony of summer’s heat.
Let the rain run through my hair,
Like nature’s fingers weaving air.
I’ll raise my arms, I’ll shout, I’ll grin—
Alive in storm light on my skin.
I want to play, not just to see
The rain as something meant to flee.
For in the falling, wild and free—
The sky comes down to dance with me.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and Light,
Brenda Marie
