Poem: I Wait for You

I wait for you where silence grows,
Where twilight leans on evening’s rose,
Each hour a thread in time’s soft seam,
Each breath a whisper of a dream.

The wind has learned your name by heart,
It calls it where the shadows start.
The stars rehearse our old refrain,
In quiet skies that miss the rain.

I wait for you in every light—
The gentle hush of falling night,
The bloom of dawn on restless seas,
The hush beneath the ancient trees.

Though time may wander, slow or fleet,
And days may drag with weary feet,
Still in this place my soul is true,
Unchanging as I wait for you.

Thank-you for reading.

Much love and Light,

Brenda Marie Fluharty
