Poem: Love Never Dies, It Only Changes Form

This blog is dedicated to my beloved grandfather Edward Chapman

Love never dies—it slips through time,
A shifting shape, a softer rhyme.
What once burned bright in youthful flame
Now lingers on, though not the same.

It sheds its skin, but not its soul,
A silent force that makes us whole.
In glances shared, or whispered prayer,
Love finds new ways to still be there.

It’s in the laugh that echoes still,
The way a touch can warm the chill,
The memory that gently stays
To light the dark in quiet ways.

It may not wear the face it wore,
But love returns in something more—
A mother’s hug, a friend’s embrace,
A stranger’s kindness, soft with grace.

So grieve not when its shape is gone,
For love, like stars, still lingers on.
It bends, transforms, survives the storm—
Love never dies, it just takes form.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,
