Love Yourself Deeply
Love yourself softly,
in the quiet hours when no one sees—
when your breath is a trembling lantern
and your heart is learning
how to trust its own light.
Love yourself fiercely,
in the moments you doubt your strength—
when the world feels too loud
and your spirit curls small.
Hold it.
Warm it.
Tell it you’re not going anywhere.
Love yourself honestly,
not only the polished parts
you show to passing eyes,
but the hidden rooms,
the cracked floors,
the stories even you
are still learning to forgive.
Love yourself patiently,
like sunlight does the morning—
returning again and again,
even when the sky feels heavy.
You deserve that kind of devotion.
And love yourself deeply,
with the boldness of someone
who finally understands
that they were never meant
to earn their worth—
only to remember it.
Thank-you for reading.
Remember there are many paths back to God.
Follow your own path,

It feels less like a note and more like a gift Brenda —a tender, powerful, and necessary reminder. The way you weave quiet vulnerability (“trembling lantern”) with fierce protection (“Tell it you’re not going anywhere”) is stunning. You’ve captured the entire journey of self-compassion, from the hidden, forgiven parts to the ultimate truth that our worth is inherent, not earned. It’s a poem that doesn’t just speak to the mind, but settles softly in the soul. Thank you for sharing this piece of your heart. It’s a profound and generous offering.
Thank-you
