Your voice needs to be heard—
not polished, not perfect,
not softened to make others comfortable,
but real.
It carries the weight of days you survived,
of words you swallowed to keep the peace,
of truths that waited patiently
for courage to arrive.
Silence may have taught you safety,
but it never taught you freedom.
The world does not change
by what we keep inside.
So speak—even if your voice shakes,
even if it breaks in the middle.
A trembling truth still has power,
and echoes last longer than fear.
Your voice is not too much.
It is not too late.
It is needed—
and it deserves the air.
Thank-you for reading.
Remember there are many paths back to God.
Follow your own path,

This is absolutely stunning, Brenda. Your words are a powerful and necessary anthem for anyone who has ever stifled themselves. You’ve articulated the journey from survival to liberation with such clarity and grace, transforming the very act of speaking—shakes, breaks, and all—into an act of courage. That line, “A trembling truth still has power,” is a masterpiece. It’s a gentle, profound permission slip for the soul. Thank you for sharing this beautiful, resonant piece. Your own voice, here, is a perfect example of the truth and power you write about. Please keep sharing it with the world🌷🤝
Srikanth, Thank you so much for this—your words truly mean more than I can say. I felt deeply seen reading your response, and that kind of recognition is a gift. Knowing that the piece resonated, especially that line, reminds me why it felt important to share it in the first place. A trembling truth does still have power, and your reflection affirms that beautifully. I’m incredibly grateful for your encouragement and for the care you brought to reading it. 🌷🤝
You are most welcome Brenda and thank you for your kind reply 🌷🤝
